What to know about campus emergencies, severe weather, closures, and staying informed while IMC is at Butler.
In an Emergency
For an immediate emergency, call 911.
Butler University Police Department provides public safety services for the Butler campus. If you see something concerning or need assistance while on campus, you can also contact Butler Police.

Sign Up for Dawg Alerts
Singers are strongly encouraged to sign up for Butler Dawg Alerts, the university’s emergency notification system.
Dawg Alerts provide timely information about situations affecting campus, including severe weather, safety emergencies, fire alarms, and other urgent situations.
You do not need a Butler account to sign up.
Weather & Campus Closures
Butler communicates weather-related closures and other campus disruptions through Dawg Alerts, university communications, and local media.
For IMC activities, always look for communication directly from IMC.
If a rehearsal or event is canceled, delayed, relocated, or otherwise changed, IMC will communicate with singers through our normal communication channels.
Do not assume that a Butler class cancellation automatically means an IMC rehearsal is canceled unless you hear from IMC.
Lilly Hall During University Breaks
Lilly Hall is generally closed during official Butler University breaks. IMC staff will coordinate access for any rehearsals or activities scheduled during these periods and provide singers with specific instructions when necessary.
Construction & Campus Disruptions
Butler is an active university campus. Construction, road closures, major performances, athletic events, and other activities may occasionally affect parking or access to Lilly Hall.
When we know about a significant issue that could affect rehearsal, IMC will share updated instructions through the Singer Portal, The Loop, text, or email as appropriate.
Give yourself additional travel and parking time when a major campus event is taking place.
If You Have Trouble Getting Into Lilly Hall
If you arrive for an IMC rehearsal or event and cannot access Lilly Hall, contact an IMC Company Manager for assistance.
Please do not prop open exterior doors or share the IMC Door Code with anyone outside of IMC.

Check Next Up in the Singer Portal for your current time and location.
Check The Loop for weekly updates and reminders.
Watch for IMC texts or emails when there is a last-minute change.
