Explore Butler
Holcomb Gardens
One of the most beautiful spots on campus. Walk through the gardens, visit the reflecting pool, or find a bench and enjoy some quiet before rehearsal.
Central Canal Towpath
Accessible from Holcomb Gardens, the towpath is great for walking, running, or biking. It connects Butler to several nearby Indianapolis destinations.
Holcomb Observatory & Planetarium
Butler has its own planetarium and Indiana’s largest telescope. Public programs throughout the year include planetarium shows and telescope viewing.
Hinkle Fieldhouse
One of the most iconic college basketball venues in the country and a National Historic Landmark. Even if you’re not a basketball fan, it’s worth exploring this piece of Indiana history.
The Farm at Butler
Butler’s one-acre sustainable urban farm is another interesting corner of campus to discover.
Arts & Entertainment
Clowes Memorial Hall & Schrott Center for the Arts
We’re rehearsing in the middle of an active arts campus! Butler hosts concerts, theatre, dance, speakers, and visiting artists throughout the year.
Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall
Keep an eye out for student and faculty recitals throughout the year. Many performances are free and open to the public.
Jordan College of the Arts
Since Lilly Hall is home to Jordan College of the Arts, you’ll regularly encounter music, theatre, dance, and other arts activity happening around us.
Relax & Recharge

Probably the place to go on a beautiful day. Take a walk, sit by the water, or find a quiet spot before rehearsal.
Atherton Union
The center of campus life, with dining, Starbucks, the Butler Bookstore, lounges, and plenty of places to sit and relax.
Lilly Hall
You don’t necessarily have to go anywhere! There are places throughout Lilly Hall where you can sit, relax, or spend some time before rehearsal.
Take a Walk
Butler’s campus and surrounding trails offer plenty of opportunities for a quick walk before rehearsal. From Holcomb Gardens, you can even follow the Canal Towpath toward Newfields and other nearby destinations.
Make Butler Yours
We hope singers will think of Butler as more than the place where we rehearse. Come early. Meet another singer for dinner. Explore the campus. See a concert. Take a walk. Stay awhile.
This is IMC’s new home, enjoy it.
