Beginning with our 37th season, Lilly Hall at Butler University is the new organizational and rehearsal home of the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus. Through the Butler Arts Collaborative, IMC joins a community of arts organizations with new opportunities for collaboration, shared resources, education and connection.
How We Got Here
Nearly four decades ago, a small group of singers came together to create a place where gay men could find community, make music and have their voices heard.
Thirty-seven seasons later, more than 100 singers now call IMC home.
Our audiences have grown. Our productions have grown. And the organization behind all of it has grown, too.
Now, for the first time in our history, IMC has an organizational home within one of Indianapolis’s great educational and artistic institutions.
Why Butler?
Joining the Butler Arts Collaborative gives IMC more than a place to work and rehearse. It puts us in relationship with artists, educators, students and other arts organizations—and creates possibilities we haven’t even imagined yet.
